The SSCP is just a subset of the CISSP exam. Don't let anyone fool you by telling you different or that it is more technical. SSCP covers the same material as the CISSP, just not all of the domains. The focus of the SSCP certification is more on skills and issues relevant to a day-to-day network and systems administrator, than the more managerial side of a CISSP. The 5-day Logical Security SSCP course provides comprehensive training in all 10 domains of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). It is targeted to professionals with as little as one year of experience in the information security field in one of the seven SSCP domains and is seen as a requirement for many technical, mid-management, and senior management positions.
