Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
The SSCP certification is designed for the professional working in positions such as network and systems security administrators. The SSCP is designed for the hands-on practitioner who implements the plans and policies designed by information security managers, CISOs, CSOs or their equivalent. The goal of the SSCP certification is to validate mastery of the technical implementation side of information security systems and the ability of the certificate holder to collaborate with those that write policy. This group of professionals includes information systems auditors; application programmers; system, network and database administrators; business unit representatives; systems analysts; and physical security professionals.
The seven CBK domains in the SSCP are:
- Access Controls
- Security Operations and Administration
- Risk, Response, and Recovery
- Analysis and Monitoring
- Cryptography
- Networks and Telecommunications
- Malicious Code
