Project Linus - Blankets for Children
We provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans.
"Not long ago a case worker with a child protective service told us about a child who came into her office obviously very frightened and crying so the caseworker handed a Project Linus blanket to this child who promptly wrapped herself up in it and the case worker said there was a noticeable difference in the child's appearance. She began to relax and the tears slowed down.
Our chapter has also delivered blankets to children of parents, from these areas, who were killed in action in our military services.
Local hospitals, child protective services, and shelters are just a few of the organizations to which we provide our blankets in the North Texas Area.
